A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also important to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet incredibly simple to work with, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with several clicks of the mouse in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses with any domain hosted here. To activate the catch-all functionality for a mailbox, you will have to click on the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the same fashion and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a given domain name, you will receive a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
